Trenell Scott has been hired as the new principal at the Innovative Learning Academy @Elizabeth Smith.
Mrs. Scott has been dedicated to the field of education for more than 23 years with teaching experience in general and special education for grades Pre-K through 8th. She has been an educator in Mansfield ISD for the past 14 years, and spent the last four years serving as the assistant principal of Glenn Harmon Elementary School.
She has worked in a variety of educational settings throughout her career: high- and low-performing campuses, affluent and Title I schools alike. Through Restorative Practices in each of those settings, she encourages teachers to build relationships with students to promote good social-emotional health, which enables students to perform at their best. Mrs. Scott says, "I believe that all students can achieve great success with a great educational team. Working together as a team with our staff, parents and community, I am committed to helping each student achieve their very best." Her goal in leadership is to foster a student-centered, customer-friendly school environment where teachers and students are encouraged to be innovative problem solvers.
Welcome to the Stallion family, Mrs. Scott!
